Special Football World Cup Edition. Read these carefully before auction day — every captain is bound by the rules below.

Auction Mechanics & Squad Building
Budget & Team Size
- Total Purse: Each captain receives a fixed budget of 5,000 coins to build their team.
- Squad Size: Captain must build a 7-man roster. Since the captain is already on the team, they must draft exactly 6 players to complete the squad.
Positional Quota
Every finalized 7-man squad MUST consist of:
- 1 Goalkeeper (GK)
- 2 Defenders (DEF)
- 4 Midfielders (MID) + Forwards (FWD) in any combination
Player Categories & Base Prices
The player pool is divided into categories (A, B, C, D, E) with varying base starting prices. Captains must strategize their 5,000-coin budget across these tiers.

Team Identity Allocation
National Team Lottery: To embrace the "Special Football World Cup Edition" theme, the assigned National Team name and the respective Group Placement for each captain will be determined purely by a blind lottery conducted live on auction day.

Match Format & Group Stage
Group Stage Structure
- Format: 6 franchised teams divided into 2 groups (3 teams per group).
- Progression: Standard round-robin within each group — every team plays 2 group-stage matches.

Points System & Standings

Tie-Breaker Hierarchy
If two or more teams finish the group stage tied on points, standings are resolved using the following order:
- Goal Difference (GD)
- Goals Scored (GS)
- Head-to-Head Results (between the tied teams)

Knockout Stage
- Qualification: The Top 2 teams from each group advance to the Semi-Finals.
- Tie-Breakers in Knockouts: No extra time is played. If a Semi-Final or the Grand Final ends in a draw, the match proceeds directly to a 3-kick penalty shootout to determine the winner.
